Steven Gerrard was delighted with Liverpool's win over Everton.
Out of work Steven Gerrard is reportedly under consideration to replace Scott Parker at Burnley.
The Liverpool icon has been out of work since leaving Al-Ettifaq in January 2025, with the Saudi side facing a relegation scrap.
Ahead of Danny Rohl being named Russell Martin's successor in October last year, Gerrard was locked in talks with Rangers chairman Andrew Cavenagh and Paraag Marathe of 49ers Enterprises.
However, he walked away from a blockbuster return to the Glasgow giants after several rounds of discussions.
The Liverpool icon earned hero status during his time in the Ibrox dugout after he ended Celtic 's stranglehold on the Scottish Premiership title in 2021.
Since then, Gerrard has endured disappointing spells at Aston Villa and in the Saudi Pro League.
Despite knocking back Rangers, the 45-year-old stated that he wanted a "passionate" crowd and the chance to claim silverware in his next job - like he had at Ibrox - in his next job.
And those rules are set to be tested with the Burnley Express reporting that Gerrard is "in the frame" for the Turf Moor hot seat, following their Premier League relegation.
The Burnley board are said to be discussing the future of Parker, with no final decision reached.
Speaking about a future in management, Gerrard said: "Rangers is my type of club - the fans, the passion, you can feed off it.
"It certainly suits the way that I go about it, but if something doesn't come or something where I feel like I can compete for the prizes I am comfortable to do what I am doing."
