Moyes lost on his return to West Ham as his Everton side fell to a dramatic 2-1 defeat at the London Stadium.

It was an unhappy comeback for Moyes and this on his 63rd birthday, no less.
Still, Nuno believes Moyes’s fingerprints are indeed on the West Ham United victory, thanks to the signings of Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek.
Both players – signed while Moyes was in charge – played pivotal roles in the victory, as Nuno pointed out after the game.

Nuno hails Moyes for signing Jarrod Bowen and Tomas Soucek
During his post-match press conference, Nuno was asked about a cruel irony for Moyes.
MORE WEST HAM STORIES
It was put to the Irons coach that Bowen and Soucek were two of his best signings at West Ham, and both of them came back to haunt him.
“I agree, I agree, I agree, I agree, I agree, I agree,” he said – a total of six times with a wry smile on his face.

Nuno would go on to hail the legacy that Moyes left behind here in east London, and the hope is that the club have a chance to build on that next season.
“David left a legacy here at the club. He brought success, he brought trophies and he made it with Jarrod, with Tomas and some more that are still here in the squad. So, it’s good.”

The fine work Moyes did at the club can never be taken away but it does threaten to be slightly undone if the team are relegated relatively soon after.
Indeed, the fact that West Ham are so heavily leaning on the Moyes era still does underline just what a good job he did while in charge, criticisms about the style of play aside.
Bowen and Soucek were masterstroke additions at a club where the flawed recruitment approach is frequently criticised.
Nuno is currently on course to ensure that West Ham at least have the chance to dream of Moyes-like success again.
West Ham have the advantage in their relegation battle with Tottenham and the late win over Everton carries the momentum they’ve generated since mid-January on for at least one more week.
