Report: Everton storm into race to sign "sensational" star who Chelsea are now prepared to sell

Everton are now keen on signing Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, with his future at Stamford Bridge in doubt, having spent the current season on loan at Bayern Munich.

Toffees eyeing striker after Moyes sends warning to Barry

Prior to the recent trip to West Ham United, David Moyes sent a warning out to Thierno Barry, with the manager suggesting the Frenchman needs to start finding the net more often if he is going to replace Beto in the starting XI.

Moyes said: "He can score, can’t he? Score and play well, be a team player. If you do that, then we don’t ask for much more. We are asking him to do the best he possibly can. Nothing more.

"Hopefully he can fulfil that for us. He’s had moments this season where he has been very good for us so I am hoping he can do it again."

With Beto unavailable for the trip to the London Stadium due to concussion, Barry was given the nod at centre-forward, but he flattered to deceive once again, missing one big chance and losing four of the five ground duels he contested.

The 23-year-old has featured in every single Premier League game this season, but he has scored just six goals, whereas Jackson has seven goals to his name in the Bundesliga, despite starting very irregularly due to the presence of England captain Harry Kane.

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Chelsea are now prepared to offload Jackson, given that neither the player nor the club envisage a long-term future together, and Everton have stormed into the race for his signature.

Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United are also named as potential suitors for the Bayern loanee, who is raking in £126k-a-week at the Allianz Arena.

The former Villlarreal man received praise from journalist Kamogelo Motecwane during his time in La Liga, where he earned a move to Stamford Bridge.

Although Chelsea are willing to part ways with the 24-year-old in the summer, he has a decent record in front of goal in the Premier League, while also catching the eye in Germany and Spain.

Nicolas Jackson's attacking record Appearances Goals Assists

Premier League 65 24 10

La Liga 35 12 5

Bundesliga 20 7 2

Consequently, Jackson could be a real upgrade on Barry, who has missed the highest number of big chances in the Everton squad.
