Mo Salah was forced off in Liverpool’s 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace.

Mo Salah continues to sweat on whether he has played his final game for Liverpool.

The winger was forced off with a hamstring injury in the 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend. Salah had to be withdrawn in the 59th minute after sustaining a suspected hamstring injury.

Liverpool's third all-time top scorer is set to bring the curtain down on his nine-year Anfield career at the end of the season. With the Reds having just four games remaining, there are fears whether Salah can make another appearance as Liverpool aim to confirm Champions League qualification. Reports in Egypt suggest he could be sidelined for four weeks.

According to the popular social media account @physioscout, which provides football injury analysis, it will be touch-and-go whether Salah can indeed make a return before the campaign's end. The 33-year-old is due to captain Egypt at the World Cup this summer.

A post on X said: “Mohamed Salah had to come off in the second half with a hamstring injury. Salah pulled up after dribbling into the box, then clutched his hamstring as he went to the ground.

“Reports out of the Egypt camp that Salah will be out for a month. This likely falls into either the grade 1/2 muscle strain territory.

“Possible Recovery Times: Grade 1: 2-4 weeks. Grade 2: 4-6 weeks. Hopefully, it's a grade 1, so that we can see him return for the season's end. Scans will be necessary to determine the extent of the injury.”

Speaking on Salah’s injury, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot said: "We don't know, that's the best answer I can give because if I say it might be a chance then probably all the headlines are, 'there might be a chance…'

"We simply don't know but what we do know is the season is in four weeks over, so there are not a lot of games being played. We have to wait and see how his injury is and if he is able to return to play.

"What I do know about Mo is throughout all of these years he has taken such good care of his body that he will have the minimum time required to recover from an injury. Let's hope for the best and that he is available in the last part [of the season]."
