Pierre Kalulu called San Siro his home for many years and whilst it no longer is, he still loves the ground where AC Milan play, as well as the fans inside.
Kalulu’s departure will always be looked at difficultly. Under Paulo Fonseca, there was believed to be no future for the Frenchman, so he was allowed to leave. That decision has been picked apart several times since and it rightly should be.
Ultimately, the Frenchman proved the club wrong and he has been fantastic for Juventus in the past two seasons. Had he not left, though, maybe Strahinja Pavlovic wouldn’t have arrived. It is difficult to weigh up the pros and cons.
Despite his exit, many Milan fans have remained fond of him, despite playing for a rival club. But they are not alone with this feeling.

Kalulu praises San Siro
Speaking at full-time last night, Kalulu admitted he was happy to be back at the stadium he once called home and he was equally glad to see the joy returning to San Siro, as he told the media via MilanNews.
What does this draw taste like?
“Personally, there’s always a bit of disappointment from the pitch. We’ve had these situations, even though the game was very close. I’m trying to look on the bright side: at San Siro, on a difficult pitch, we took a point in this final rush. Let’s try to look on the bright side today.”
What emotions do you feel returning to San Siro as an opponent?
“It’s always a special feeling; it’s always a little strange to be on the other side during the warm-up. When you’ve experienced the fans’ love, it’s always nice to come back. I’m happy to be back here and see this stadium, which has started singing again and is very beautiful to see.”
