Arsenal observers were reportedly in attendance as Ajax winger Mika Godts scored an outstanding individual goal during a 2-0 win over NAC Breda on Saturday.

The Belgian international had already provided the assist for Oscar Gloukh’s opener prior to bagging one himself. He ran past several NAC defenders and rounded goalkeeper Daniel Bielica before putting the ball into the back of the net.
Godts has been described as the “new Eden Hazard” by some in the media, and TEAMtalk claim the Gunners consider him a “serious candidate” to strengthen the left flank this summer.
The 20-year-old has been in excellent form for Ajax this season, scoring 16 goals and providing 11 assists in 39 appearances.
Other Premier League teams had scouts watching Godts
It is believed that Chelsea sent a representative to watch the forward in action at the weekend as well, along with Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Leeds.
Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and RB Leipzig have been keeping tabs on Godts’ progress too.
It means Arsenal will have a battle on their hands if they do see the Belgian as one of their main targets ahead of the summer transfer window.

Arsenal are looking to replace Martinelli
A reliable journalist, the BBC‘s Sami Mokbel, has named Gabriel Martinelli among the first-team players who are expected to leave the Emirates at the end of the season.
The Brazilian has struggled for consistency over the past few years, and it appears the Gunners have lost patience with him.
From the looks of things, Mikel Arteta’s side are now actively looking for Martinelli’s replacement, with Godts one of those under consideration. It remains to be seen, though, whether he ends up being the no.1 option.
