Photos: Curva Sud protests Milan-Juventus ticket prices with simple display

Ahead of AC Milan’s game against Juventus, the Curva Sud vented their frustrations about the ticket pricing and they did so again during the game.

There has been a bit of conflict in recent years between Milan and different fan groups regarding the pricing of tickets, especially in big fixtures. One of the biggest instances, at least in recent memory, would be the Champions League game against Liverpool.

However, it is not the only case where it has happened.

Against Juventus, there was frustration with some tickets being priced at more than €100, something which the Curva Sud offered to ‘customers’ rather than fans of the club.

Curva Sud’s frustration displayed

In fact, it was encouraged for fans to miss this big clash. However, the game was a sell-out eventually. Considering the scoreline, it was probably a wise shout to have missed the game…

During the game, the group made a very clear message with Gerry Cardinale also in attendance. The pricing was too much and rather than an extravagant display, just the price was shown with a brief message.

As can be seen with the image below, a banner was displayed saying, “Per un calcio piu giusto e popolare”. It translates to English simply, “For a fairer and more popular football.”
