Gerry Cardinale was seen again at San Siro on Sunday night and the American will be present for meetings with AC Milan in the week.
It is becoming somewhat of a regularity for Cardinale to be present for big games at San Siro. He watched Milan beat Inter earlier this year and he attended the game against Juventus last night. Indeed, the American is becoming much closer to the team.
However, this was expected when he and RedBird became the owners of the club, thanks to the restructuring of the vendor loan.
Attending the game was not all that was on his agenda, though.
Cardinale in town
As relayed by @Filoni_Diletta on X, Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Cardinale may be present for a while, with several meetings planned in Milano over the next few days. Indeed, he wants to ‘define’ things ahead of next season.
There has been talk that he wanted to assess the management before the summer mercato and this may be a part of that. However, it may also be a chance for him to reveal the budgets available to the club.
Ultimately, Massimiliano Allegri has wanted guarantees over the expectations moving forward and Cardinale’s presence could strengthen the club’s position, whilst also doubling down on the Rossoneri’s complete belief in him and his project, from the sporting director to the owner.
