**Alisson is “tempted” to accept an offer from Serie A giants Juventus in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.**
The 33-year-old is out of contract at Anfield at the end of the next season, but for many, he will hopefully sign an extension beyond that date, or certainly at least stay until then.
Admittedly, Alisson’s injury problems are becoming a cause for concern, with the Brazilian pushing to be back for Sunday’s trip to Manchester United on Sunday, but he remains almost as good as ever, when fit.
Strong exit claims have emerged regarding Liverpool’s No. 1 in recent weeks, however, with [Juve said to have a verbal agreement in place](https://live4liverpool.com/alisson-becker-reaches-verbal-agreement-on-personal-terms-to-join-juventus/), and Romano has now taken to [_X_](https://x.com/FabrizioRomano/status/2048796748374544563?s=20) to provide a new update:
_“Juventus would be ready offer a longer contract to Alisson (current deal at LFC runs out in 2027). Alisson, tempted by this option…but leaving the decision up to Liverpool – as Reds will already lose Salah & Robertson this summer.”_
**Liverpool need Alisson for at least one more year**
-----------------------------------------------------
This is already going to be a summer with high-profile exits at Liverpool, with Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson bringing the curtain down on their legendary Reds careers.
To see Alisson leave as well would, therefore, be a big blow, both in terms of his world-class ability and his influence in the dressing room.
Giorgi Mamardashvili hasn’t yet fully convinced as his deputy, while Freddie Woodman isn’t the answer despite becoming a cult hero, so Alisson will hopefully stay until at least 2027.
As mentioned, he is still a giant force, even though hamstring injuries have arguably affected his kicking, and the hope is that he sees his future at Anfield for the time being.
There is a worry that Alisson will want a fresh challenge, however, following eight years in a Liverpool shirt, and if he does move on, he will be an almost impossible player to replace.
His arrival from Roma in the summer of 2018, alongside Virgil van Dijk in January of that 2018, was the catalyst for the Reds’ glorious success under Jurgen Klopp, and he is a true 21st-century icon at Anfield.
