“We’ve had a lot of Monday night games so I’ve been lucky to tune in.”

Sky Sports’ explanation for Everton’s Monday fixture overload has been shared, but it will not do much to please the match-going supporters.

Alongside Manchester United, no other side has played more times on a Monday night this season than Everton.

Manchester United 6

West Ham 3

Brentford 3

In fact, as the table shows, the club with the closest number of appearances has played half of the number of times on a Monday as Everton.

Dewsbury-Hall also shared his delight over his Everton move, with the midfielder having settled in well this season.

However, his sombre mood could be felt after more points were dropped at the weekend in the race for the European spots.
