Report: David Moyes adds another Championship star to transfer shortlist as Everton launch…

Everton have been linked to several players in the Championship ahead of the fast-approaching summer transfer window.

The Toffees have been scouting Hayden Hackney this season, and the Middlesbrough midfielder has just been crowned the division’s Player of the Season.

Millwall’s Femi Azeez and Southampton’s Leo Scienza have also been linked to the Hill Dickinson Stadium, so clearly a winger is one of Moyes’ priorities.

Everton launch enquiry to sign Balazs Toth

According to Csakfoci, Everton have made contact with Blackburn Rovers over a deal to sign Balazs Toth.

Toth has really impressed in goal for Rovers this season, helping his side avoid relegation to the third division.

The 28-year-old only has one year left on his contract at Ewood Park, so the Toffees could land his signature for a discounted fee.

Moyes’ interest in Toth does come as somewhat of a surprise, considering the club shelled out £4m on Mark Travers’ signature last summer.

Travers seems like a very competent back-up to Jordan Pickford, but clearly the Scotsman isn’t convinced.

It recently emerged that Moyes wanted Lukasz Fabianski last year, suggesting Travers wasn’t his preferred option.

“I had several offers, from Everton (to be) the second goalkeeper, there was an inquiry from Legia (Warsaw). I had various conversations,” Fabianski admitted.

Either way, whoever signs, they won’t be displacing Pickford as the number one goalkeeper any time soon.

The England international, who celebrated his 32nd birthday in March, has three years left on his Everton contract.
