Everton will receive 15% of any profit made from the sale of a long-time Liverpool target, amounting to approximately £12 million, according to The Athletic.
Ex-Everton star Anthony Gordon comes with an £80 million asking price, which should net the Toffees a significant fee in the event of his sale, which has long been rumoured to be to Liverpool.

Gordon, who left Everton in January 2023, has an £80 million asking price attached to his name, with interest from Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
The Englishman, who may have played his last game for the Magpies, joined Newcastle for a transfer fee of almost £40 million, and has netted 17 goals in 46 appearances for the club this season.

Anthony Gordon is attracting interest from European giants.
Despite his relatively unimpressive haul of just six Premier League goals this campaign, the 25-year-old lit the Champions League on fire, bagging 10 goals and two assists in 12 matches on the European stage.
According to a report from The Athletic, Newcastle appear increasingly likely to sell Gordon this summer, despite the player not yet publicly communicating a desire to leave.
The England international has attracted interest from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich, however, a difference in valuation has emerged with Vincent Kompany’s side looking for a transfer fee in the region of £55 million, according to The Times.
Interest is also present from Chelsea, with the London club desiring another attacking player who can bring top-league experience and the muscle memory of playing a demanding fixture list.
Despite Liverpool’s past attraction to the Englishman, and the news of Mohamed Salah’s departure leaving them a man short in attack going into the 2026/27 season, it is not expected that the Reds will revive their interest in Gordon.

The decision to sell Gordon is the result of an internal push to normalise the sale of their players once they’ve reached their peak market value and replacements can be sorted.
Gordon, who ranked at No. 17 in FourFourTwo’s list of the best left wingers in the world, is currently sidelined with a hip injury, with his future at the club uncertain.
Newcastle, placed 14th, return to Premier League against sixth-placed Brighton on Saturday at St. James’ Park.
