Everton have reportedly joined Sunderland and Leeds United in the race to sign Leicester City winger Abdul Fatawu

The £20million-rated Leicester City winger is expected to attract significant interest this summer following the club’s relegation, with several sides monitoring his situation ahead of a potential move.

Fatawu has been one of Leicester’s standout performers despite a difficult campaign, building on the form that helped fire the Foxes to promotion during the 2023-24 season. The 22-year-old has continued to impress in the Championship, contributing nine goals and seven assists while also ranking highly for dribbles, chances created and touches in the opposition box.

According to Football Insider, Everton are keen to strengthen their attacking options and view Fatawu as a potential addition ahead of next season. However, they are not alone in their interest, with both Sunderland and Leeds United also credited with tracking the winger.

There is also a growing expectation that Fatawu could leave the King Power Stadium this summer. A recent social media post, in which he thanked supporters while expressing disappointment at the club’s season, has been interpreted by some as a sign he is preparing for a move. While the player did not explicitly confirm his intentions, the tone of the message has fuelled speculation that he does not see his long-term future at Leicester following their drop.

He wrote: “Appreciate all the support from the beginning of the season till today, Foxes. Is disappointing to finish the season at this level in all this was not what we work for and over all was not good enough. This our club is an amazing and deserved more than the position we are today, and i believe this club will come back stronger to where it belongs.”

The winger is viewed as one of the club’s most valuable assets. Across his time with the Foxes on loan and permanently, the attacker has scored 16 times in 100 games for the soon-to-be League One club
