Everton and Nottingham Forest reported as admirers of Middlesbrough’s £6.5m man David Strelec
Everton and Nottingham Forest are reportedly admirers of Middlesbrough forward David Strelec.
The 25-year-old was lured to the Riverside from Slovan Brastislava last September, penning a five-year deal after an initial fee of £6.5m was stumped up.
He has since made 31 appearances in the second tier of English football, contributing seven goals to Middlesbrough’s promotion push.
It may be a modest tally, but Strelec is said to have done enought to attract admirers from the Premier League.

Everton and Nottingham Forest linked with Middlesbrough man
According to SportsBoom, both Everton and Forest could swoop for the Slovakia international when the summer transfer window opens.
His combination of physical and technical quality is thought to have endeared him to the clubs, who are reportedly plotting to bolster their respective attacks.
Middlesbrough, however, are not believed to have any intention of parting with a player they gave a long-term contract to last summer.
David Strelec’s career journey from Slovan Bratislava to Middlesbrough
Strelec started his career in his native Slovakia with Slovan Bratislava, impressing enough to earn a move to Italy with Spezia in 2021.
The move came too soon for the frontman, who was back on loan in the Slovakian capital by 2023. He sealed a permanent move back to the Sky Blues in 2024 before Middlesbrough swooped a year later.

After putting pen to paper at the Riverside, Strelec said: “I’m delighted to be here. There was a lot of speculation over the last nine months and I wanted to come here. I’m very happy that I’m here now and I can finally play for Boro.
“I’ve heard that the fans are amazing and I can’t wait to play in front of them.”
