Everton closing in on new shirt sponsor deal

**Everton are on the verge of agreeing a deal for their new shirt sponsor.**

Premier League restrictions on gambling companies will take effect next season, meaning an end to the partnership between David Moyes’ side and Stake.com.

Blues’ chiefs have held talks with viable replacements with CMC Markets emerging as the forerunner in the race to secure the rights to the front-of-shirt agreement.

The London-based financial services company is operated by former Conservative Party treaturer Lord Cruddas and is also in talks with Fulham over a similar deal.

First reported by Sky News’ Mark Kleinman, CMC are understood to have made a£30 million bid to sponsor Everton’s first season after the gambling ban takes effect.

If approved, it would mark the latest landmark commercial deal struck by owners The Friedkin Group, who have grown the club’s portfolio considerably this season.

Following the move to Hill Dickinson Stadium, a number of prominent global brands have signed up as partners including Budweiser, Pepsi and most recently Heinz.
