Everton loan offer could be accepted this summer – Transfer looking more favourable

Edon Zhegrova

Everton may be able to secure long-term target Edon Zhegrova on loan this summer as Juventus look to move the winger on however they can.

Tuttosport, relayed by Tuttomercatoweb, provide the information today. The newspaper reports that several players will be leaving Juventus this summer regardless of how the season ends.

Juventus plan for exits

According to their information, manager Luciano Spalletti will play a key role in transfers at Juventus moving forwards. And he’s already planning a busy summer reshaping the squad at his disposal.

One of those on the list is Edon Zhegrova. He’s failed to impress since arriving in the summer and Juventus want rid.

And he may be made available on loan to facilitate that. According to Tuttosport, he and several others, such as Lois Openda, will leave ‘either on loan or through a transfer’.

That should be of interest to Everton. Reports have linked them with a move for Edon Zhegrova for months.

Everton expecting incomings

The Toffees are expected to be busy in the summer transfer window as they plan for a big spend under David Moyes. Indeed, they avoided spending in the January transfer window so they could focus on the summer.

Another winger, or two, is likely to be on their list. Although that will depend on what happens with Jack Grealish. If Everton pay out to sign him permanently, a loan deal for Zhegrova would be appealing.

The last report on their interest, from February, insisted that they were very much back in the mix for the 27-year-old. With a loan now possible, that interest will surely have increased.

Of course, it all depends on the funds available to David Moyes this summer and what positions he deems as most urgent. But a loan deal for Zhegrova could end up being the kind of low-cost deal that made Moyes’ first time at Everton so successful.
