To say that Lloyd Kelly has had his ups and downs since his arrival at Juventus last year would be quite the understatement. The English defender has been in and out of the lineup constantly and his level of performances have certainly varied quite a bit, but it’s safe to say Kelly is enjoying one of his best runs right now.
Juventus have conceded just one goal in their last seven, and Kelly has started the last six. He’s not the sole reason for Juventus’ defensive improvement in the last two months, but he’s finally found real consistency and had a strong performance in Sunday’s mostly lifeless 0-0 draw against Milan at _San Siro_.
Kelly’s position in the team always seems to be under question, but there’s no doubt he seems to have hit a stride lately and is now looking to make himself the definitive first choice left-sided center-back — whether in a back four or a back three.
