Jack Grealish has caused a stir in the media after the Everton No.18 was photographed slumped over at a rooftop bar on Saturday.
As David Moyes watched his side suffer a 2-1 defeat against West Ham, the England international was back in Manchester enjoying the sunshine with friends, although that image of the attacking midfielder surrounded by several drinks has cast a negative light on the afternoon.
It all feels like a mountain is being made out of a molehill – in our eyes – but the Telegraph have now shed more light on the situation, revealing whether Jack Grealish breached any rules at Everton while out in Manchester.

Jack Grealish had permission from Everton to go out in Manchester
Dominic King now writes that the 30-year-old had done all of his required recovery work at Everton last week before going out in Manchester, and the time spent at the rooftop bar was his own to do as he pleased with.
The Telegraph explain that Grealish has ‘not breached club disciplinary rules by being out in Manchester’ and is highly thought of at the Hill Dickinson Stadium – where he is said to have made an instant impression on Moyes.
A nice anecdote about his arrival at Everton was also mentioned, in which it is said that the former Aston Villa star spoke to the son of Chief Executive Angus Kinnear on FaceTime last summer to explain that his father would miss his bedtime, due to the fact he was finalising his move on loan from Manchester City.
Ultimately, it feels like Grealish – who wants to join Everton permanently – has simply been the victim of some unfair backlash.

With all of that taken into account, Grealish can surely be forgiven for having a few drinks in the sunshine on a day off.
