David Moyes is desperate to sign a new centre-forward.
Thierno Barry has been a real disappointment since joining Everton in a substantial £30m transfer last summer.
Beto has improved in recent weeks, but despite how popular he is among supporters, the Toffees need a more consistent striker.

Robin van Persie loves Everton target Ayase Ueda
Everton are reportedly scouting Feyenoord striker Ayase Ueda, who has netted a whopping 26 goals this term.
The 38-cap Japan international is managed by van Persie, and the former Manchester United striker loves his attitude.

Speaking earlier this season, the Feyenoord boss said: “What is great about Ueda is that he always acts like himself.

“Ueda scored in matches against Paraguay and Brazil over the past week, and he achieved a hat trick here. Even so, his attitude does not change. Ueda is still Ueda.”
That is the exact type of character Moyes loves to recruit, and his personality would certainly be a great asset to the culture at Finch Farm.
On top of that, Ueda is also a physically imposing number nine, as he stands at 6ft tall and is really powerful in the air.
Everton are facing competition for the 27-year-old’s signature, as Tottenham Hotspur and Leeds United have been credited with an interest.
