Everton could potentially see Jack Grealish return to action before the final game against Tottenham Hotspur.

The Toffees will travel to North London on 24 May as they hope to secure a European spot and David Moyes may be able to call upon the English forward in the coming weeks.

Grealish has been out at Hill Dickinson Stadium since February and subsequently underwent surgery for a foot stress fracture, with a recovery period of around three months.

In the winger’s 10-week update with the surgeon, the Manchester City loanee has been told that things couldn’t be better and fans have surely been given reason to hope.

Moyes could do with someone like Grealish in the final stretch of the season and it will be interesting to see if the 30-year-old is fit enough to feature against Tottenham.

Jack Grealish question looms at Everton

Speaking to BBC Sport on 29 April, Grealish said, “I feel really good in myself now. I had a 10-week Zoom call with the surgeon, who said it couldn’t be looking any better at this stage.”

In the summer, the biggest question at the Toffees will be whether they can get a deal over the line to re-sign the England international.

The forward has admitted that he has loved playing under Moyes and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him reunite with the Scottish manager at Hill Dickinson Stadium next season.

While the Blues have made it clear that they aren’t going to pay £50million for Grealish, they will be confident about agreeing a lower fee with Man City.

The winger’s contract at the Etihad Stadium expires in the summer of 2027, and considering the Englishman isn’t getting any younger, the Merseyside outfit should be able to get a favourable deal over the line.

David Moyes let down by Friedkin Group

Moyes clearly needed reinforcements in the winter transfer window, especially after Grealish was sidelined, but The Friedkin Group failed to do much.

Tyrique George was the only arrival for Everton, signing on loan from Chelsea until the end of the season.

The Scottish manager has struggled with a lack of squad depth at Hill Dickinson Stadium in the current campaign, which may affect their chances of qualifying for Europe.

TFG must ensure they build a competitive squad for Moyes in the summer to compete on all fronts, with Grealish the obvious target.
