David Moyes answer speaks volumes over Adam Aznou’s Everton future

There is a belief that Everton are open to allowing Aznou to leave this summer, with a loan back to the continent already being mooted.

Moyes was asked about some of his summer signings by Joe Thomas on the Royal Blue Substack, with his feelings on Aznou made clear.

“Merlin [Rohl], we like, Tyler [Dibling], we like. Tyler, we’re giving more time to because of his age. Merlin could have easily been involved in some more games and played a little bit more,” said Moyes.

“It’ll do him no harm to have sat back for the best part of the season and looked at it. No, we like them, they’re both good boys.”

Moyes then went on to discuss Tyrique George, with no answer being shared on his Moroccan left-back, Aznou.

Through some social media posts, Aznou has made it clear he’s not enjoying life at Everton, having failed to pick up a single minute in the Premier League.

Aznou’s Everton chance has gone for this season

Vitalii Mykolenko did not impress at the weekend against West Ham, but the Ukraine international is in no danger of being dropped from the side.

On the other hand, Aznou did impress against Sunderland in the FA Cup back in January, but that appearance marked the end of his minutes under Moyes.

Moyes admitted Braiden Graham won’t feature for Everton in their remaining games as there is too much at stake for the Blues.

The same will now be expected with Aznou, who is not going to be offered an opportunity at his Premier League debut when Everton are battling for European qualification.

What lies ahead next for Aznou remains to be seen, but it is clear that Moyes does not consider him part of his immediate plans.
