Everton have several players on loan this season.
Harrison Armstrong was at Preston North End for the first half of the season but has since returned after really impressing at Deepdale.
That shows the Everton youngsters that there is a pathway to the first team, so it should encourage the likes of Isaac Heath, who is performing well at Accrington Stanley.

Everton loanee Martin Sherif scored in front of Pep Guardiola
Everton under-21 centre-forward Martin Sherif joined League One outfit Port Vale in the January transfer window.
Sherif spent the first half of the season at Rotherham, but his loan was cut short due to niggling injuries.
The 19-year-old was in action against promotion-hopefuls Stockport County last night and netted the opener with an instinctive striker’s finish.

Guardiola was at Edgeley Park and watched on as the Toffees teenager produced perhaps his best performance of the season.
Sherif earned a 7.1 match rating on Sofascore, and his underlying statistics were really encouraging.
89 minutes
20 touches
1 goal
1 key pass
8 carries
5 aerial duels won
4 recoveries
1 ground duel won
1 interception
Indeed, it’s unlikely that Sherif will get a first-team opportunity with Everton next season, but he’s certainly put himself in the shop window for another progressive loan.
Perhaps a club higher up in the third tier will take a chance on him.
