Everton's Jack Grealish makes tongue-in-check comment about Sheffield Wednesday move
Everton’s on-loan Manchester City winger Jack Grealish has joked he could find himself in League One with Sheffield Wednesday next season.
The 30-year-old looks set for a move in the summer having fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium.
He has endeared himself to the Everton faithful, registering two goals and six assists, but has been out injured since January.

Jack Grealish’s tongue-in-cheek Sheffield Wednesday comment
As part his role as an ambassador for Special Olympics GB, an organisation who look to use sport to empower children and adults with an intellectual disability, he welcomed five of their athletes to Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium.
They had all completed the London Marathon and among them was 13-year-old Niall, a Wednesday supporter.
Grealish was asked what it would take to get him in a Wednesday shirt and he responded: “Sheffield Wednesday, one of my, well, good friends actually played for them for a while, called Barry Bannan. He’s a legend there, isn’t he? We’ll wait and see, see what happens next year, I could be at Sheffield Wednesday.”
Grealish was coming through the ranks at Aston Villa when Bannan was a young midfielder at the Midlands club. Bannan left Villa for Crystal Palace in 2013, later joining Wednesday in 2015 and going on to spend over a decade with the Owls. The veteran midfielder departed Hillsborough in January, joining Millwall.
Niall and the other athletes were all given a VIP tour of Everton’s state-of-the-art stadium, which started hosting the Toffees this season.

Ambassadorial role
Grealish said: “Being Principal Ambassador for Special Olympics GB means a lot. It’s inspirational to see the determination and the positivity that the athletes show every day. I’m proud to help show the world what they can achieve.
“Through my career in football, I’ve been fortunate to meet many people whose lives have been changed by sport. Special Olympics GB is achieving that every day, and it’s great that I can play a role in supporting that.”
