David Moyes’ side remain hopeful of the possibility of [extending the England international’s stay](https://www.clickliverpool.com/sport/everton-fc/64724-david-moyes-reveals-everton-stance-on-jack-grealish-deal/) for next season with hopes of another short-term deal.

Manchester City’s £50 million valuation is understood to also be an option despite the Blue’s reticence to break their transfer record for the 30-year-old.

But Grealish has revealed that he is making good progress in attempts to be fit in time for the start of pre-season since undergoing surgery on his injury.

“I feel really good in myself now,” he told BBC Sport.

“I had a 10-week Zoom call with the surgeon, who said it couldn’t be looking any better at this stage.

“So for me, it’s happy days and so good to hear news like that.”

He added: “As a footballer it’s always difficult being injured.

“I came to the Merseyside derby game and it got me a bit emotional, because its something I miss doing so much.”
