Anthony Gordon 'could land Everton a £12million' windfall three years after leaving Goodison Park for Newcastle United.
The 25-year-old England international left the Toffees in 2023, moving to St James' Park for an initial £40m fee in the January transfer market. Despite a difficult season, Gordon has continued to build his reputation on Tyneside and made a big enough impression to become the club's all-time top goalscorer in the Champions League.
This summer, it could be time for Gordon to move again, however. The forward has been widely linked with an exit, with Bayern Munich among the clubs most closely associated with a transfer.

It is said Newcastle will be holding out for their second-highest transfer fee ever. Liverpool paid a record £125m for Alexander Isak last summer.
And that could leave Everton in a prime position. It is understood that the Blues included a sell-on clause in the deal to sell the Merseyside-born talent.
That figure is reported to be as high as 15 per cent. If Newcastle claim the £80m they desire, that will see Everton rake in £12m. Bayern are said to value Gordon at £55m, which would still bring in £8.25m.
Asked earlier this season whether he had spoken to Gordon about speculation over a departure, Newcastle boss Eddie Howe was cool about the prospect.
"I discuss things with players all the time," he said. "I don’t necessarily discuss transfer speculation unless I feel it’s got to a point where I have to.
"I think after the chat with Sandro [Tonali], I think the biggest thing I look for is the commitment to training because if I see the commitment to the training ground work, the player will perform. And that’ll be the same with Anthony, that’ll be the same with every player.
"One thing I’m not going to do is in any way play a player, any player, if I don’t feel they’re 100% committed to the club and to its future. Because that commitment, that resolve, that what a player gives the team has to be total.
"And I’m not talking about Anthony here, I’m talking generally across the board. I’ve always got to do what I think is right for the team and I’ll continue to do that."
Newcastle legend Alan Shearer has played down the notion that Gordon has played to the standard to get into Bayern Munich's side, however. On commentary duty for the impressive 5-4 match between the German giants and Paris Saint-Germain, Shearer had a slight dig at Gordon.
"If we're to believe the reports, they're not content with the front four they've got, they want Anthony Gordon," said commentator Jon Champion. "He wouldn't get in this team," Shearer quickly replied.
