Everton have sent a “concrete offer” to PSV Eindhoven for 21-year-old winger Esmir Bajraktarevic, according to reports in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
David Moyes’ side are understood to be in the market for forward reinforcements this summer and they have reportedly identified Bajraktarevic as a key target after sending scouts to watch him in action for PSV in recent weeks.
The Bosnia international, who was born in the United States of America, has only started six Eredivisie matches so far this season, but Everton have earmarked him as a possible signing ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
That is according to Bosnian outlet SportSport" href="https://sportsport.ba/fudbal/esmir-bajraktarevic-transfer-psv-eindhoen-everton/521049" target="_blank">SportSport, who claim that Everton scouts were in attendance to watch Bajraktarevic score two goals and provide two assists during a 6-1 win over PEC Zwolle last week.
It’s reported that Bajraktarevic has been on the club’s radar for several months, but the Toffees have now intensified their pursuit of his signature as they look to bolster the attacking options at Moyes’ disposal before the start of next season.
SportSport reveal that Everton scouts immediately concluded that Bajraktarevic is a worthy transfer target following his performance versus PEC Zwolle and the Premier League outfit are now going “full throttle” to sign him, with a concrete offer having already been submitted to PSV.
The exact amount of Everton’s bid hasn’t been disclosed, but the 21-year-old moved to PSV from New England Revolution for a fee of €3 million in January 2025 and the Dutch giants will be eager to turn a tidy profit on the winger this summer.
Interest in Bajraktarevic comes amid rumours that Iliman Ndiaye could leave the Hill Dickinson Stadium this summer, with several top Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Manchester United, interested in finalising a deal for his signature.
Analysis: Who will Everton sign this summer?
In addition to Bajraktarevic, Everton have also been tipped to pursue a permanent deal for Jack Grealish this summer, with his long-term future at Manchester City in serious doubt.
The former England star hasn’t featured since January due to a foot injury, but Everton are understood to have been impressed by his form this season and they are open to agreeing a permanent switch, with only one year remaining on his current contract at Man City.
Chelsea loanee Tyrique George is unlikely to arrive permanently, however, after failing to establish himself as a key player since arriving from Stamford Bridge on a temporary basis during the winter window.
Everton have also been linked with bringing John Stones back to the club, following confirmation he will leave Man City on a Bosman deal in July, while a new centre forward could be pursued amid the goalscoring struggles of Beto and Thierno Barry this season.
