Frank Lampard is said to be turning his attention to Serie A for his next signing as Coventry City manager. The Sky Blues boss recently steered the club to automatic promotion to the Premier League after securing the Championship crown.
Speculation is already mounting regarding potential signings Coventry could pursue during the summer transfer window following their top-flight return.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Juventus forward Lois Openda has become a potential target for Coventry ahead of the summer.
The Sky Blues are reported to have approached Juventus regarding a possible deal for Openda, with rumours indicating the transfer could be structured as a season-long loan with an obligation to buy the following year - assuming the club avoids relegation.

Openda initially arrived at Juventus from RB Leipzig on deadline day last summer on a loan deal, which was officially converted to a permanent transfer earlier this month.
The Belgium international has managed only two goals in 34 outings for the Serie A side this campaign, fuelling growing speculation about a departure from Turin just 12 months after his move from Leipzig.
Reports have claimed that Juventus will pay €40million (£34.6million) to complete Openda's permanent signing, though it's been suggested that the Italian outfit would struggle to recoup a comparable fee this summer should they opt to sell the 26-year-old.
The speculation surrounding Openda follows reports that Coventry are on the verge of completing the permanent signing of goalkeeper Carl Rushworth.

Rushworth has made a strong impression with the Sky Blues this season, with Lampard and his backroom staff reportedly determined to secure the shot-stopper on a permanent deal as they gear up for Premier League football next campaign.
The 24-year-old left Brighton last summer to join Coventry on a loan deal, and the Sky Blues are now seemingly intent on ensuring the goalkeeper stays at the Coventry Building Society Arena on a full-time basis.
Lampard's position at Coventry has been the subject of considerable speculation following the club's promotion to the Premier League, though the former England international reaffirmed his dedication to the Sky Blues ahead of their return to the top flight.
“I’m not sure anyone’s questioned my commitment to the club because of what we’ve done, and I feel like I’ve been committed since I’ve been here,” Lampard recently told Sky Sports.
“Maybe they do but I have no problem with it, no worries with it. I’m manager of the football club. We’re in a great moment of enjoying a promotion to the Premier League.
“We know there’s a lot of work to be done, which we’re going to broach after this last game (against Watford ), specifically, and I think the owner said that. So that’s fine, he’s the boss.

“I’m happy. I don’t get involved in rumours because in my job you’d be very smart to just focus on the job in hand and not get involved in that stuff.”
