Arsenal into Champions League final after Atletico triumph
Tuesday night at the Emirates will live long in the memory.
20 years after their only previous appearance in a Champions League final ended in defeat to Barcelona, Arsenal are heading back to the biggest stage in club football, and this time, Mikel Arteta's side arrive with every reason to believe the ending will be different.

Bukayo Saka's rebound finish late in the first half was all that separated the two sides, sending Arsenal through 2-1 on aggregate against Atlético Madrid in front of a roaring Emirates Stadium.
Leandro Trossard had forced Jan Oblak into a parry with a powerful drive, and Saka was quickest to react at the back post, tapping home to spark scenes of euphoria in north London.
Gabriel Magalhães then made a last-ditch tackle on Giuliano Simeone to avert a certain goal, and David Raya repelled Antoine Griezmann's late effort as Arsenal held firm to book their place in the final.
The final takes place in Budapest on May 30.

Arsenal agree personal terms to sign £70m England star who could be Rice 2.0
Arsenal have made their move to sign a big-money England international.
Arsenal have gone the entire campaign unbeaten in Europe — 11 wins and three draws — and have a genuine chance of becoming only the 12th club in the competition's history to lift the trophy without losing a single game.
It is a moment of pure joy for a club that has spent two decades trying to recapture that level.
Meanwhile, behind-the-scenes, planning is underway for next season already, and sporting director Andrea Berta has been given a financial boost.
Jakub Kiwior leaves Arsenal for good after official FC Porto statement
FC Porto confirmed on Tuesday afternoon, hours before kick-off, that they have permanently signed Jakub Kiwior by activating the purchase option included in his loan deal with Arsenal.

According to the official Porto statement, the Portuguese club have acquired 100 per cent of the Polish international's registration rights for a fixed fee of £14 million, with up to a further £3 million payable in performance-related bonuses.
Arsenal will also retain a fixed £1.5 million sell-on clause should Porto transfer Kiwior again in the future.
The 25-year-old has signed a contract in Porto until June 2030, with a hefty £60 million release clause inserted into the deal.
Kiwior joined Arsenal from Spezia in January 2023 for £20 million and made 68 appearances for the club across two and a half seasons, largely as a deputy to Gabriel and William Saliba.
His versatility — capable at left-back and as a left-sided centre-back — gave him value as a squad option, but regular first-team football remained elusive and the loan to Porto last summer gave him the chance to establish himself elsewhere.

The 'sensational talent' suffered a thigh injury in February that temporarily disrupted his season at the Estádio do Dragão, but his overall contribution was evidently sufficient to convince Porto to trigger the option.
For Arsenal, the sale represents a clean and financially sensible conclusion to a signing that never quite fulfilled its early promise.
The £14m base fee recoups the majority of what they paid three years ago, allowing Berta to potentially reinvest that cash in the transfer market, and the sell-on clause ensures they benefit further if Kiwior's career continues to develop.
