Anthony Gordon has been heavily linked with a move away from Newcastle this summer and Bayern Munich are one of the frontrunners for his signature, with Arsenal also interested

Bayern Munich have opened talks with Newcastle to discuss signing Anthony Gordon in a potential £75million deal. Newcastle are prepared listen to offers for Gordon, 25, who wants to explore his options this summer.
The England international is keen to have his future resolved before the World Cup which starts in June. Arsenal have a long-standing interest in Gordon but now Bayern have made the first move.
Sky Sports report that Newcastle are in dialogue with the German giants, who were crowned Bundesliga champions last month and are on for the domestic double. Bayern are said to have a good relationship with St James' Park chiefs which could help negotiations run smoothly.
It's added that two of Gordon's team-mates, Sandro Tonali and Tino Livramento, could also leave Newcastle during the summer transfer window. Midfielder Tonali has been linked with Manchester United.
Other reports have claimed that Newcastle value Gordon at £75m, although Bayern have be looking at £55m fee. The Magpies rejected an approach from Liverpool in 2024 before handing the winger a long-term contract which runs until 2030.
Eddie Howe, though, has already made it clear that he only wants players who are committed to Newcastle. "I discuss things with players all the time," Howe said following Newcastle's 2-1 loss at home to Bournemouth in April.
"I don't necessarily discuss transfer speculation unless I feel it's got to a point that I have to," Howe said. "After I had the chat with Sandro, the biggest thing I look for is the commitment to training because if I see that, the player will perform.

"That will be the same with Anthony and every player. One thing I'm not going to do is play any player if I don't feel they're 100 per cent committed to the club and it's future. I'm not talking about Anthony there, I am talking across the board."
Gordon has had an indifferent campaign in the Premier League, but only two players - Harry Kane and Kylian Mbappe - have scored more than his 10 goals in this season's Champions League. That's despite Newcastle being thrashed by Barcelona 8-3 on aggregate in the round of 16.
The former Everton star is expected to go to the World Cup, having established himself as a favourite under Thomas Tuchel. He could even start when the Three Lions begin their campaign against Croatia on June 17.
