NBA Analyst Explains Why Celtics Should Be 'Open To Everything' This Offseason

Coming off their second straight disappointing playoff exit and third in four years under Joe Mazzulla, the Boston Celtics need to seriously evaluate the state of their team and the direction they want to take going forward.

Everything should be on the table this offseason, Chris Broussard said on Thursday's episode of "First Things First," including potentially splitting up Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.

"I would not go into this offseason feeling like I gotta split this up, but I would just be open to everything," Broussard said. "Who's out there? Giannis?... KAT?... And I would even be open to do we move Tatum? I'd be open to all of that."

While the Celtics don't have to break up Tatum and Brown, it could be worth considering if the right superstar becomes available and a trade makes sense, such as one for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Boston should consider other options as well, such as adding more around Tatum and Brown, ideally a big man, or even firing Joe Mazzulla.

The Celtics are too talented to keep choking in the postseason, so they need to find a solution, even if it requires doing something bold or risky.
