According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, Dudley recently interviewed for the Portland Trail Blazers head coaching position, putting a possible departure from the Nuggets on the table this offseason.
"The Trail Blazers interviewed Jared Dudley for their head coaching position. Dudley is the lead assistant coach for the Nuggets. He was also an assistant coach for the Mavericks. He spent 14 NBA seasons with the Bobcats, Suns, Clippers, Bucks, Wizards, Nets, and Lakers," Michael Scotto of HoopsHype wrote on X.
The 2025-26 season was Dudley's first year on Denver's coaching staff. He joined the organization after being hired by head coach David Adelman as his lead assistant following the franchise's coaching changes during the 2024-25 campaign.
Before arriving in Denver, Dudley spent multiple seasons with the Dallas Mavericks under Jason Kidd, where he quickly built a reputation as a respected voice in the locker room and an important part of the coaching staff.
The former NBA forward played 14 seasons in the league and suited up for several teams during his career, including the Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Bobcats, and Los Angeles Lakers.
