The Toronto Raptors enter the offseason with optimism, despite a first-round exit in seven games at the hands of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Bobby Webster's team didn't have many expectations entering this season, and despite not upgrading the team at the trade deadline, they still grabbed the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference and took the Cavs to the brink after finishing six games back in the standings.
Webster decided to stand pat this season, known to be a bit cautious when it comes to trading. However, there is reason to believe that the Raptors will get a bit active in trade talks this offseason, according to ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel.

“The Raptors own their first-round picks for the next seven years, including the 19th pick in this year's draft. This organization has always been delicate when it comes to trading draft capital, and the Raptors will not do so this offseason unless a clear opportunity to vastly improve their roster comes about. Then again, it may take a pick to move on from Quickley, Poeltl, or former first-round pick Gradey Dick, who has likely played his final games in Toronto,” Siegel reported.
Dick's usage and production were way down this season, averaging just over 14 minutes per game. In the playoffs, he played just four minutes in garbage time, setting the table for a potential fresh start this offseason. While Toronto may have to attach a pick to get him off the books, as Siegel reported, they could find a team willing to take a chance on the former first-round pick.
