Arsenal spent around £250m on new signings for the 2025/26 campaign

After a terrifying wobble in April, Arsenal’s 2025/26 campaign is back on track as edge ever closer to winning a stunning Premier League and Champions League double. With just three matches left to go in the league, the Gunners are five points clear of Manchester City who, it must be noted, do still have a game in hand.

West Ham, Burnley and Crystal Palace are the trio of sides now standing between Arsenal ending a wait of over 20 years to lift the Premier League trophy. After the domestic season is done with, thought will swiftly turn to the Champions League final, where Mikel Arteta’s side will look to beat PSG and win the competition for the first time in the club’s history.

As the Gunners push on to try and make that double-winning dream become a reality, we’ve given our ratings for every new player the club signed for the 2025/26 campaign:

Rating every signing Arsenal have made this season - Kepa to Madueke

Kepa Arrizabalaga: 7/10 - At £5m, you really can’t complain with the job Kepa’s done as David Raya’s deputy this season. He’s only been asked to fill in on eleven occasions, exclusively in the cup competitions and played an important role in getting the Gunners to the final of the Carabao Cup.

Amazingly, he could be set to win a third Champions League of his career from the bench - having previously done just that with Chelsea and Real Madrid. Still, a medal’s a medal!

Martin Zubimendi: 9/10 - A real unsung hero for Arsenal in his debut season, the £56m midfielder is only second to Declan Rice in terms of Premier League minutes racked up by their outfield players this season. Speaking of Rice, Zubimendi has allowed the England international to enjoy a more advanced role, with his relentless discipline keeping things rock solid at the back. An invaluable addition all round.

Christian Norgaard: 5/10 - He was brought in to add some much needed squad depth to a side looking challenge across four competitions. The £10m ex-Brentford midfielder has barely featured for Arsenal this season, however, with his only real contribution coming in the domestic cup competition and early stages of the Champions League. Underwhelming, but through no fault of his own.

Noni Madueke: 7/10 - Arsenal do have an unquestionable habit of signing Chelsea players for them only to flop. Willian, David Luiz, Raheem Sterling on loan - the list goes on. Madueke, however, looks like he’ll buck that trend, having slotted into Arteta’s setup seamlessly. He’s provided vital cover for Bukayo Saka during his injury struggles, and proven adept at filling in on the left wing too.

While he’s not exactly been a revelation, his lack of big numbers in the goal contributions department is perhaps indicative of the side’s penchant to score from set-pieces rather than open play.

Rating every signing Arsenal have made this season - Gyokeres to Eze

Cristhian Mosquera: 6/10 - Another versatile rotation option signed to take the strain off the starting defenders, the Spain international has done a decent job when required to fill in. He clearly isn’t anywhere near as good as Gabriel or William Saliba in the air - but how may other defenders in the Premier League really are? He’s played a key role in plenty of clean sheets being kept this season, and come off the bench a number of times to help see through a narrow win.

Victor Gyokeres: 7/10 - In a similar piece on how Man United’s new signings fared this season, we lamented the enormous pressure placed on striker scoring numbers these days in relation to Benjamin Sesko. It’s been a similar story for Gyokeres, who has found himself under intense scrutiny during some of his more arid spells this season.

Still, he’s managed to notch up an impressive 21 goals in all competitions so far, and while critics continue to point to the relatively inferior calibre of opposition he tends to score against, he is clearly starting to find his feet in the Premier League. We went back and forth between a seven and an eight here, with the former just edging it. A Champions League winning goal and we may have to reconsider.

Eberechi Eze: 8/10 - Gunners fans were delighted to beat Spurs in the race to sign the Crystal Palace gem, who arrived at the Emirates Stadium last summer for a £68m fee. He’s looked highly impressive in a central attacking midfield role, and bagged an unforgettable North London Derby hat-trick that in itself boosts him up from a seven to an eight.
