NEW YORK, NEW YORK - NOVEMBER 05: Anthony Edwards #5 of the Minnesota Timberwolves warms up before the game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on November 05, 2025 in New York City.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are playing the San Antonio Spurs in Game 3 of their conference semifinals series in a matchup that will feature Anthony Edwards, as the team announced shortly before tipoff.

Edwards, who is dealing with a knee injury he suffered in the Timberwolves’ previous series against the Denver Nuggets, was questionable heading into Game 3, but will now play.

But while Minnesota has upgraded him to available, Ayo Dosunmu, who was also listed on the team’s injury report, remains a game-time decision.

GettyDENVER, COLORADO – APRIL 20: Anthony Edwards #5 of the Minnesota Timberwolves plays the Denver Nuggets in the first quarter during Game Two of the First Round of the NBA Western Conference Playoffs at Ball Arena on April 20, 2026 in Denver, Colorado.

Edwards suffered a left knee bone bruise and hyperextension in the Timberwolves’ Game 4 win over the Nuggets, and his injury status since then has been iffy to say the least.

The star missed the first two games after that, and while he returned spectacularly for Game 1 against the Spurs just nine days after suffering the injury, he’s still been a constant on Minnesota’s injury report.

However, while Edwards has been questionable for more than half of the Timberwolves’ playoff games so far this postseason, he’s played in every single one that he’s held that status.

Edwards went through an intense recovery regime to get back for Minnesota’s series against San Antonio, and though he doesn’t appear 100%, as seen with his addition to the Timberwolves’ injury report, that hasn’t stopped him from playing.

In the first two games of the series, Edwards is averaging a pedestrian 15 points, three rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 50% shooting, but led the Timberwolves to a Game 1 win with 11 fourth quarter points.

The star shooting guard was dealing with another knee injury heading into the playoffs, and while it remains unclear if he’s fully recovered from that, he is still facing the lingering hyperextension and bone bruise from round one. Still, that isn’t stopping him from playing in Game 3, as according to the latest Edwards injury update announced by the Timberwolves, he’s been upgraded to available.

“The Timberwolves have officially upgraded Anthony Edwards to AVAILABLE for tonight,” NBA reporter Brett Siegel wrote in a post on X.
