How Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges led Knicks past 76ers for Game 3 win

The New York Knicks continue to roll. In Game 3 on Friday night, the Knicks, despite being without OG Anunoby due to a hamstring injury, took a 108-94 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, taking a commanding 3-0 series lead in the process. This game scarcely felt like a road game, as plenty of Knicks fans flocked to Xfinity Mobile Arena and helped make it feel as though the series was still in the Garden.

This was an absolutely pivotal game for the Knicks to win as no team in NBA history has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit in the playoffs. This 76ers team has bucked trends in recent weeks and even came back from a 3-1 deficit at the hands of the Boston Celtics, but they would literally have to do something that's never been done before if they were to somehow come back from this hole they're in.

As per usual, it was Jalen Brunson who did the bulk of the heavy lifting for the Knicks. He finished with a game-high 33 points as he made mincemeat of the 76ers' defense, and he added five rebounds and nine assists for good measure. Mikal Bridges' revival continued as well, as he recorded 23 points in support of Brunson, and on an efficient 8-14 performance from the field, no less.

Every Knicks player had their time under the Xfinity Mobile Arena bright lights on Friday night. Karl-Anthony Towns stuffed the stat sheet with an eight-point, 12-rebound, seven-assist performance. Josh Hart finished with a double-double, tallying 12 points and 11 rebounds all while being a nuisance on the defensive end.

New York got incredible minutes from Landry Shamet, who scored 15 in 26 minutes off the bench and was a plus-20. Mitchell Robinson made life difficult for Joel Embiid.

Scoring this win without Anunoby is such a huge victory for the Knicks, as they can afford to bring him back slowly even more.
