Former NBA shooting guard Dwyane Wade had one of the greatest careers of any player at his position in basketball history, and he was honored for his on-court accomplishments when he was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame as a first-ballot member of the Class of 2023.
Wade was recently asked who would be included in a Mt. Rushmore of the toughest players who defended against him on Wy Network, and he listed his top-4: Ron Artest, Kirk Hinrich, Tony Allen, and Avery Bradley.

Best known for his time with the Miami Heat, who took him with the fifth overall pick in the legendary 2003 NBA Draft, Wade won three NBA championships and became the face of the franchise for over a decade. Wade teamed up with LeBron James and Chris Bosh, both of whom were also taken in the 2003 NBA Draft, during Miamiβs Big-3 era, ushering in what was at the time a modern dynasty before the glory days of the Golden State Warriors.
After stops with the Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers, Wade was sent back to the Heat in the 2017-18 NBA season and would play one final year with the club before retiring in 2019. His No. 3 jersey was later retired by the Heat in February of 2020.
During his career, Wade scored a total of 23,165 points β with a career average of 22 points per game β which ranked 29th all-time when he hung up his sneakers for good. 2008-09 was his highest-scoring season at 30.2 points per game. Additionally, he registered 3,954 points in 177 career NBA playoff games.
