Match Pack: Arsenal

Aston Villa Women conclude their 2025/26 home campaign against Arsenal in the Women's Super League at Villa Park this afternoon.

Natalia Arroyo's side will be looking to bounce back from Monday's dissapointing loss and make it a final home game to remember.

Villa fell to a late 2-0 defeat against West Ham United in B6 earlier this week.

Despite dominating proceedings the Villans were left with nothing to show for their efforts as late strikes from Riko Ueki and Seraina Piubel sealed the win for the Hammers.

Fuka Tsunoda had put the Seagulls ahead just before the half-time break but a goal from Frida Maanum 17 minutes after the restart ensured the Gunners headed home with a draw.

Stats

Arsenal manager Renée Slegers has faced 20 different managers in the WSL and Natalia Arroyo is the only one she hasn't won against.

Kirsty Hanson has scored against nine of the 11 WSL clubs this season with the exceptions of Manchester City and Arsenal - if she scores today she would join Sam Kerr (2021/22) and Rachel Daly (2022/23) as the only players to score against 10 different teams in a single WSL season.

HIGHLIGHTS | Arsenal 1-1 Aston Villa

Lucy Parker fired a dramatic injury-time leveller the last time these two sides met in the league as Villa claimed a hard-fought 1-1 draw at Emirates Stadium.

Substitute Parker converted from close range after Lynn Wilms’ corner dropped into her path, clinching a point from a battling performance in north London.
