Golden State Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr will retain that title, and his position, for two more seasons. Kerr’s willingness to remain with the Warriors after 12 seasons and 4 NBA Championships was in question this summer. A parting of the ways seemed possible, if not immanent. But [Shams Charania of ESPN is reporting](https://x.com/shamscharania/status/2053268603995095087?s=12) that Kerr has signed a two-year contract to remain with the team.

Kerr has compiled a 604-353 record with the Warriors in a dozen campaigns, a .631 winning average. His 104-48 record in the NBA Playoffs eclipses that, a .684 rate of winning. Kerr and the Warriors won NBA Titles in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2022.

The Warriors earned a 37-45 record during the 2025-26 regular season, only the second losing record in Kerr’s tenure.
