The “Nature Boy” is officially fed up. WWE legend Ric Flair took to social media to blast Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Doncic after the team dropped a pivotal Game 1 to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Flair didn't pull any punches, targeting Doncic’s absence from the lineup despite his massive paycheck. Doncic, who is set to earn $46 million this season, was sidelined with an injury as the Lakers fell 115-108 in the series opener. Flair made it clear that for that kind of money, he’d be finding a way onto the court, even if it meant a literal leap of faith.
“There is only one word that I can possibly say, and that’s DISAPPOINTED,” Flair tweeted. “46 Million Dollars, And You Can’t Play. OMG, I Would Jump Off The Empire State Building With A Parachute For 46 Million Dollars A Year, And I Don’t Even Know How To Pull The Cord To Open It- But I Would Take My Chances.”

Without their primary engine, the Lakers struggled to find a rhythm against a young, hungry Thunder squad. LeBron James led the way with 27 points and six assists, while Deandre Ayton anchored the paint with 10 points and 12 rebounds. However, the Lakers’ offense stalled in the fourth quarter, shooting a dismal 4-of-17 from the field in the final 12 minutes.
On the other side, Chet Holmgren torched L.A. for 24 points and 12 rebounds. The Lakers missed Doncic’s ability to manipulate the defense, finishing the game with 16 turnovers and shooting just 33% from beyond the arc.
The frustration is mounting in Hollywood. While the severity of Doncic’s injury remains a concern, the pressure to deliver on a max contract is always high, especially when a 16-time world champion is calling you out. The Lakers head into Game 3 needing more than just a “Wooooo!” to even the series; they need their superstar back on the floor.
