LeBron James gets honest on OKC being compared to Jordan Bulls, Durant Warriors

LeBron James acknowledged how special the Thunder has been in the wake of significant comparisons to the Michael Jordan-led Bulls dynasty and the Kevin Durant Warriors.

LeBron James has played long enough for 23 years to see himself share battles against several compelling and memorable teams the NBA has ever seen.

For this, he got nothing but respect for the Oklahoma City Thunder's place among the game's greatest squads.

“They’re pretty damn good from top to bottom,” LeBron James told reporters after the LA Lakers' 131-108 Game 3 loss when asked if the OKC team he is facing is right up there with the ‘90s Chicago Bulls and the Kevin Durant-era Golden State Warriors.

"They don’t let their foot off the gas.”

These teams are arguably atop the NBA's best, and the current Thunder is simply hammering their case to join the conversation.

After winning the NBA championship last year, OKC became even more invincible with immense talent, depth and two-way pedigree. Led by reigning league MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder are on the cusp of making a historic run this 2025-26.

They clinched an NBA-best 64 wins last regular season, and remain unbeatable this postseason with a staggering 18.3 points average margin of victory.

They owned the Phoenix Suns from the past opening round, and on the verge of easily entering the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year, up with a commanding 3-0 series lead in the second round against James and the Lakers.

Once they win it all this year for a back-to-back title feat, everyone can only acknowledge the Thunder as one of the best teams in the sport.
