Ex-Man City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips believes everything now points towards rivals Arsenal winning the Premier League title.
While he would love his former club to finish top of the table, Wright-Phillips told aceodds.com that it is now very much in the hands of the Gunners:

“I’m a City fan, of course. I want to see them win it, but at the end of the day, you can’t knock the fact that Arsenal have been top of the Premier League for 250 plus days.”
“Whether we get level on points with them or not, it’s still Arsenal’s to throw away; they’re still in charge of it. But then obviously, dropping points against Everton, which could have happened to anybody.”
“The way Arsenal have been playing, it’s just now in their hands. If Arsenal slip up again, then City have another chance.”
“But now it’s Arsenal’s once again to put to bed, so it’s in their hands. At the minute it’s Arsenal. I see Arsenal winning the title until things change.”
Arsenal just need to keep winning
As Wright-Phillips mentions, Mikel Arteta’s side have to focus on what they need to do, and it is theirs for the taking.
If there are no slip-ups, the club’s first title in 22 years is in the bag. They just need to go one game at a time, starting with the trip to the London Stadium today.
West Ham is the most difficult game left
The Gunners’ next opponents cannot be taken lightly. The Hammers are fighting for their lives at the bottom of the table, and they know that a victory would move them above Tottenham out of the relegation places.
It should also be pointed out that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are unbeaten in their last six league matches at home, having last tasted defeat to Nottingham Forest just after the turn of the year.
If Arteta’s team do get through that match unscathed, they will be confident of beating already relegated Burnley, as well as Crystal Palace, who will be playing in the Conference League final just a few days later.
