LeBron James, Kawhi Leonard linked to move to team up with another Hall of Famer

Golden State Warriors reportedly believe they can land another "big-time player" like LeBron James or Kawhi Leonard this offseason.

The Golden State Warriors are not ready to give up on their championship ambitions despite an aging core and another unsuccessful season.

According to Tim Kawakami of The San Francisco Standard, the Warriors believe they can land another "big-time player" this offseason, such as LeBron James or Kawhi Leonard, to pair with franchise legend Stephen Curry for another championship run.

"The Warriors aren't doing a reset. They believe they can land another big-time player like Kawhi Leonard or LeBron James this offseason, which means Kerr is by far the best coach for the next few seasons," Kawakami reported.

The Warriors have missed the playoffs in two of the last three seasons. Their most recent NBA Finals appearance came in the 2021-22 campaign, when they defeated the Boston Celtics to win their latest championship.

This season, Golden State finished 10th in the regular season with a 37-45 record before losing to the Phoenix Suns in the second play-in game.
