Bukayo Saka could not hide his delight as VAR overturned West Ham's equaliser

Arsenal are just two games from becoming Premier League champions following the grittiest of wins over West Ham at the London Stadium.

While Leandro Trossard struck the winner, West Ham had a last-minute equaliser from Callum Wilson ruled out following an alleged foul from Pablo on David Raya.

West Ham were crestfallen while Arsenal celebrated passionately as they took another crucial step towards glory.

Win their final two matches against Burnley and Crystal Palace and they are Premier League champions.

Here are some talking points from the London Stadium.

VAR controversy

The issue was not the decision to disallow the goal. Take the emotion out of it and David Raya was impeded by Pablo.

The problem and the thing that will irk West Ham is how long it took Chris Kavanagh to make up his mind. It suggests in his view, it was not clear and obvious.

Kavanagh will have been keen to ensure he got it right but he has to be absolute certain to change his mind and disallow the goal.

The delay suggests he was not certain.

What Bukayo Saka did after VAR overturn

As the Arsenal bench exploded into elation following the decision to chalk off Wilson's equaliser, Bukayo Saka turned to the travelling Arsenal fans and rallied the crowd.

He knows how big of a moment that could well prove to be. He leapt to his feet and celebrated as if he'd just scored the winner himself.

There was an eerie sense of anticipation inside the London Stadium as the gruelling wait rumbled on but look down at the pitch following Kavanagh's announcement and Saka was front and centre of the action, lifting the club's fans for one last push.

Mikel Arteta makes error

When Ben White was forced off through injury, the obvious change would have been to bring on Cristhian Mosquera at right-back.

Mikel Arteta was picked up on cameo saying to assistant Gabriel Heinze "Zubimendi or Mosquera?"

Surprisingly, the Arsenal boss brought on Zubimendi and shifted Declan Rice to right-back.

The thinking, presumably, was to try and contain West Ham danger man Crysencio Summerville.

The Dutchman looked sharp and had a few moments in the first half where he looked capable of breaking the deadlock.

But from an Arsenal perspective, the change backfired massively and gave West Ham a foothold in the game as they finished the stronger of the two teams before the break.

Worrying White sign

It took White in excess of four minutes to walk around the London Stadium pitch following his knee injury.

He was assisted by a member of Arsenal's medical staff but was in clear discomfort as he soldiered around the field.

White was in visible distress and went straight down the tunnel for treatment.

Given we are now so close to the end of the season, the early signs do not look good and his involvement in Arsenal's two final Premier League matches, Champions League final and World Cup has now been plunged into doubt.

The England international was just starting to hit form following a difficult season and with Jurrien Timber still sidelined, Cristhain Mosquera could now have a big role to play in the last three matches.

Formidable Raya

David Raya won the Premier League Golden Glove for good reason - he is a goalkeeper that takes come beating.

That was clear today when he kept out Taty Castellanos' first-half header before somehow blocking Mateus Fernandes' effort following a fine exchange with sub Pablo.

Raya has made countless top saves since displacing Aaron Ramsdale as Arsenal's No. 1 but the one here to deny Fernandes is one of his very best because it was absolutely crucial.

There's an argument that Fernandes should have burried it but Raya had to be there to stop it and keep it out.
