There is a good chance that the Wizards will select AJ Dybantsa with the pick, but it also would not be a surprise if they select Cameron Boozer or Darryn Peterson. With the way their current roster is set up, Dybantsa would make the most sense.

The Wizards already have a young core of Alex Sarr, Kyshawn George, Bub Carrington and Tre Johnson, and adding another player to that core will be really good for them.
Young is the perfect player to have for this core as well, knowing that he'll be the pass-first point guard to help them get easy shots. It's also good to know that he can get his own shot as well, and he's one of the better scoring guards in the league.
Davis will also be key to the Wizards' success, and playing alongside another big man like Sarr could help unlock their frontcourt. The thing is, Davis has been speaking about wanting to win now for the past few weeks, and it's uncertain if he'll even suit up for the Wizards before the start of the season.
Getting the No. 1 pick speeds up the process of winning now, but it may not be on the same timing that Davis wants.
