The 2026 NBA Draft Lottery came to a conclusion, and the Washington Wizards earned the first overall pick. Washington will have their pick of the litter in one of the best draft classes in recent memory. AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, Darryn Peterson, and Caleb Wilson are all up for grabs. The Wizards franchise will be picking first overall for a league-leading seventh time. They most recently took John Wall with the number one pick in 2010. Ray Felix (1953), Frank Selvy (1954), Walt Bellamy (1961), Bill McGill (1962), and Kwame Brown (2001) were also first overall picks of the franchise.
The Wizards weren't the only team with good lottery luck. The Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, and Chicago Bulls were all on the outside looking in of the top four heading into the lottery, but the ping pong balls bounced each of their ways and resulted in all of them landing top four picks. On the other end of the spectrum, the Sacramento Kings once again fell down the draft board, and because the Indiana Pacers' pick didn't land in the top four, it will head to the Los Angeles Clippers because of the Ivica Zubac trade. The full draft order is officially set, so who will make each of the 60 picks come draft day?
