Declan Rice injury concern after worrying Arsenal moment spotted in West Ham win

At the final whistle, Rice demonstrated his character by taking a moment to acknowledge the home support, beating his chest in their direction, having previously led his boyhood club to UEFA Conference League glory in 2023. Yet after paying his respects to the crowd, Rice appeared to be in noticeable discomfort, pausing to clutch his lower back with both hands.

It is understood Rice has been managing a minor back complaint in recent weeks, alongside a number of other niggling issues.

He has been able to train regularly and it has not impacted his availability or mobility in any way, which will come as a significant relief to the Gunners.

Arsenal now have a full week to prepare for their next fixture, at home to Burnley on Monday, May 18. Mikel Arteta's Premier League leaders are just two wins away from clinching the title, provided Manchester City win all three of their remaining games.

City host Crystal Palace on Wednesday before facing Chelsea in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday. Pep Guardiola's side then make the trip to Bournemouth before welcoming Aston Villa on the final day, when Arsenal travel to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal are set to conduct tests, on top of the initial assessments carried out both on the pitch and in the dressing room, on White after the right-back suffered a serious-looking knee injury against West Ham.

White was left in clear discomfort following a robust challenge with Hammers winger Crysencio Summerville and departed the London Stadium with his right knee in a brace.

Arteta said of White following his side's victory: "We don't know, but he doesn't look good at all, so he needs some further testing tomorrow probably and I know a bit more."

The Spaniard also confirmed Calafiori was withdrawn at half-time owing to an unspecified fitness concern.

However, there is less worry surrounding the Italian, who jogged to join his team-mates in celebration in front of the travelling supporters following Leandro Trossard's late winner.
