The New York Knicks have been dominant over the last couple of weeks, winners of their last seven playoff games, including a blowout victory in Game 4 to sweep the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday. The Knicks are now back in the Eastern Conference Finals for the second straight season, where they will take on either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks are looking to break a 53-year championship drought this season, and recently, one of the iconic members of that 1973 team, Walt Frazier, drew a lofty comparison between that team and the current iteration of the squad.
“The camaraderie, the ball movement, the hustle, it reminds me of my team for sure, the way they're playing together, especially defensively,” said Frazier, per KNICKS ON MSG on X, formerly Twitter. “When you're holding teams below 100 points… that's extraordinary.”

While the Knicks didn't hold Philadelphia below 100 on Sunday, they didn't need to, as New York's scorching offense put 144 points on the board, including 25 threes, tying an NBA playoff record, in front of an Xfinity Mobile Arena that was packed out with Knicks fans who had made the two-hour journey from the Big Apple.
It may be hard to remember now, but this playoff run has not come without adversity for the Knicks, who found themselves down 2-1 in their first round series against the Hawks. However, since then, New York has been on an absolute tear, winning six of the last seven games by double figures, including several ugly blowouts, en route to the conference finals.
The Knicks now have plenty of time to rest up, as the earliest that Game 1 of the next round can be is on May 17 against either Detroit or Cleveland.
