Washington Wizards guard Trae Young is a four-time All-Star who led the entire NBA in assists in 2025.
However, he’s also the second-most overrated players in the entire league, according to his peers.
Trae Young Voted Second-Most Overrated Player in NBA by His Peers

In the 2026 edition of the annual anonymous NBA Player Poll conducted by The Athletic, Young was voted by his peers as the second-most overrated players in the entire league.
In all, 81 total players voted in the poll and Young received 8.6 percent of the vote, which was tied with Minnesota Timberwolves forward Rudy Gobert for the second-most. Houston Rockets star center Alpren Sengun was voted as the league’s most overrated player with 12.3 percent of the vote.
Other players to receive multiple votes include Karl-Anthony Towns, Paolo Banchero, Ja Morant, Scottie Barnes, Deni Avdija, Luka Doncic, Pascal Siakam and Dillon Brooks, among others.
Young is no stranger when it comes to being labeled as overrated by his peers. He was voted as the league’s most overrated player in the very same poll back in 2023.
