Alvarez 'wants to leave'

Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez is keen to join a new club this summer, Cadena SER claims.

The Argentina international has not yet announced his decision, but senior figures at Atleti "suspect" that he wants out after his representatives have made "movements" to secure a summer transfer. Arsenal are among the clubs to have explored a transfer.

However, Spanish outlets have repeatedly insisted that Alvarez is not interested in returning to England after his spell at Man City, and this report is no different. Atleti believe it to be "very unlikely" that their asking price of well over €100 million will be met.

Arsenal get Wesley boost

Everton's potential failure to secure European football will boost Arsenal's chances of signing AS Roma right-back Wesley, as per TEAMtalk.

Hope is not yet lost for the Toffees, but they will have to get results in their final two games of the season. Everton had been hopeful to secure a deal for Wesley from fellow Friedkin-owned club Roma.

However, it will be difficult to attract the Brazilian without European football, leaving Arsenal as the potential favourites for his signature. The Gunners are looking for a Ben White replacement.

Lewis-Skelly on his future

Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly has opened up on the adversity he faced earlier in the season when he wasn't playing, and the transfer speculation that followed.

The 19-year-old has won a starting berth as a midfielder over the past two weeks, but he had struggled for minutes, particularly in the Premier League, until April. This engendered rumours that he could look to leave Arsenal this summer.

However, the youngster insists that he is ignoring all the outside noise and is only concentrating on helping his boyhood club secure silverware. "I am focused on the games that we have got coming up - and bringing this club back to glory," Lewis-Skelly said.

He added: "Sport is not one pathway, because there are ups and downs. And it’s how you bounce back from that, and how you are in those moments when you face adversity. That is what defines you.

"I spoke with my family and friends. I just told them, 'I don’t want to hear all the noise that is coming from social media. Let me stay in this moment, let me continue to face this adversity and let me come out the other side of it.'"

Bournemouth worried over Kroupi

Bournemouth are concerned that Eli Kroupi will leave the club this summer, according to the BBC.

The Cherries are not expecting a summer exodus of similar proportions as last year, but they accept that some players will be keen to join bigger clubs. Teenage sensation Kroupi, for example, is being courted by Arsenal, Man Utd and others.

The Frenchman is likely to be one of the club's most in-demand players this summer, and there is a worry on the South Coast that he will be poached by a big-name suitor.
