On Sunday afternoon, the New York Knicks bulldozed their way into the Eastern Conference Finals with a blowout 144-114 road win over the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 4, completing a sweep of their second round series. The Knicks have now won seven straight playoff games, six of which came by double digits, and are looking like a legit title threat as they enter the next round.
Recently, point guard Jalen Brunson was asked what it's like to be the centerpiece of the Knicks' turnaround over the last few years, and his answer will inspire fans everywhere.
“I think that's a question I would love to answer once I retire. This place means a lot to me and we're still writing our story,” said Brunson, per Knicks Videos on X, formerly Twitter.

The Knicks have made it to at least the second round in each of Brunson's four years as the franchise point guard, and now have made it to the Eastern Conference Finals in two straight seasons.
Last year, New York's run ended there with a loss to the Indiana Pacers, but this time around, the Knicks are hoping to break through and make it to the NBA Finals for the first time in over a quarter century. If their results over the last couple of weeks are any indication, they'll have a great chance of doing just that, as New York has looked like a buzzsaw from Game 4 of their series against the Atlanta Hawks on.
In the next round, the Knicks will take on either the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Detroit Pistons, and they'll have plenty of time to rest before that matchup, as the earliest possible start date for Game 1 would be on May 17.
